One of 3,000 issued, this volume was published in 1888 by Roberts Brothers, Boston. (This was the same year that Louisa May Alcott died).
Bound in terra cotta cloth, the spine and cover are adorned with gold-colored gilt and black inlay.
Book is in good, antiquarian condition. Signs of shelf wear and light fraying or rubbing around edges and at top and bottom of spine. When looking at the front cover, an age wear sign is noticeable at the junction of the cover and the spine (please see photos). Inside, pages are clean. Binding is secure with some cracking and exposure of the hinges throughout.
