A later printing of Emerson's Original first edition of Parnassus (Boston: Osgood, 1875), this 1882 printing by Houghton and Mifflin's Riverside Press, is both a wonderful read for Emerson fans and a gorgous shelf copy for any library.
Bound in brown embossed cover and spine adorned with crisp and clean gold gilt.
Some light, normal age-related wear at joint of spine and cover, and bumping of corner boards. Binding is very good and pages are crisp and clean.
A truely lovely book.
