About:  J.K. Rowling’s first Harry Potter book was published in England in 1997 under the title Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. 500 copies were printed. The manuscript then went to auction where it was purchased by American Publisher Scholastic who retitled the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. In September of 1998, Scholastic published 50,000 copies of which this book offered is one of them.          


Condition: Very Good Condition.

Dust jacket: Very Good Condition with light foxing on the inside near the top. Complete jacket with original price shown. Quote from The Guardian is on the back.

The hardcover book boards are diamond embossed and in very good condition.
Binding is excellent. Green front endpaper has an inscription reading “To Michael – from Mom- Book fair 1998- I love you.” Pages are as new.
