A beautiful later printing of Louisa's May Alcott 1870 novel Old Fashioned Girl. 
Gilt, red, and black lining and inlays on spine and cover. 
Very good condition with several light places of rubbing on front and back covers, and cosmetic wear to cloth at joint of spine on front and back from where the book was held open while a reader enjoyed it.  The binding is very good. 
 
Christmas Gift inscription inside from 1889 reading, "Mary G. Oakes, from Mamma. Christmas, 1889".
