Dating from the 1500s, the card game Piquet was popular during Colonial times and a great (or not so great) game for betting. The game's popularity continued leading to Cavendish creating this book and publishing it in 1873.

Embossed green cover and spine adorned with crisp and bright gold gilt, this 1873 First Edition of "Cavendish on Piquet" makes a special addition to a card players libary, and who knows, perhaps brings a trick or two to the table.

Condition: In Very Good Condition. Pages crisp and clean. Gilt on spine, cover and edge of pages is in beautiful condition. A fine copy for its age and a worthy gift.
